Tax Services seeks to ensure the University's compliance with applicable taxing authorities. Our goal is to act as a resource for the University community for University-related tax issues. We strive to deliver quality tax services to our customers to include tax research, education, planning and reporting.

University Tax Information

IRS Form W-9 (to Provide University Tax ID)
IRS Form W-9 is used to provide the University's Tax Identification Number to those who will pay the University. This form may be signed by a departmental representative having financial responsibility for University funding source(s).

IRS Tax Status Determination Letter
This letter (and the University’s Tax ID) CANNOT be used by a student or employee organization that is operated separately from the University of Arizona. A student or employee organization that is operated as an integral part of the University of Arizona must not have its own bank account, and all the revenues and expenses must be recorded in the University’s financial system.

Letter to Donors and Sponsors
This letter (and the University’s Tax ID) CANNOT be used by a student or employee organization that is operated separately from the University of Arizona.
