Qualifications & Duties

Power users will provide additional testing, training and support for the UAccess Financials Upgrade.  Their role is to bring a campus perspective to testing and training, and to provide campus users at large with a resource to answer their questions and help train them in the new user interface (menus and search capability) and any new functionality introduced with the upgrade.  They will interact with their own department as well as other colleges, departments and central administration units.  All participants must have the approval of their department to participate as a power user.

Qualifications

  1. Extensive knowledge and experience in UAccess Financials (UAF)
    • Preparation and routing of UAF documents:
      Disbursement Voucher, PCard Documents, Vendor, Requisitions, Cash Receipt
    • Preferred Additional Experience:
      General Error Correction, Capital Assets, Account Documents, Organizational Review
    • Awareness of concepts like nightly batch, AWS, cloud, backdoor access in relation to the KFS functionality – will not be expected to perform these functions
  2. Knowledge of financial reports
    • General department/college financial reports in UAF
    • General Analytics financial dashboard reports
  3. Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience explaining functionality
  4. Willingness to act as a resource for campus questions about UAF

Duties

Total Time Commitment: 2-12 hours/week (specific timeframes and hours of participation TBD)

  1. Participate in training sessions to become familiar with UAF new look
    • October – 2-4 hours/week
  2. Participate in end-to-end testing to verify campus functionality is working
    • November and December – 10 hours/week
  3. Participate in meetings to give campus input on the upgrade
    • October through January – 1-2 hours bi-weekly until January, then weekly
  4. Assist department/college personnel to prepare for the upgrade, as needed
    • December & January – 5-10 hours/week
  5. Act as Liaison with FSO Outreach and FSO BA team and campus to provide campus perspective
  6. Publish work phone number for campus access to ask questions
  7. Communicate and advocate for the UAF upgrade
  8. Provide post go-live support for campus questions and training
