Bid Only Request dPR - An Introduction

What? A method of asking Purchasing to obtain bids from vendors for your review without obligation to complete the purchase. This is referred to as a 'Bid Only' request.

When? You want to get quotes for large dollar items, without having to make a commitment to purchase.

How? In summary (details will follow):

Create a new dPR (29H).
Optional. Enter the names and addresses of any known vendors(29V).
Indicate what you want to go out for bid. (29L)
Trailer the dPR.
