In order to receive any financial aid payment student must have a Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) prior to payment.  Non-Resident Alien students who receive a non-cash scholarship which covers tuition and registration fees only are not required to obtain an ITIN
