U.S. Savings Bonds

 

University of Arizona benefits eligible appointed personnel and classified staff employees can have automatic payroll deductions made towards the purchase of Series EE Savings Bonds. The purchase price of each Savings Bond is half the face value of the bond. (i.e.: $100.00 bond denomination would cost $50.00).

 

To enroll in the Savings Bond program contact The National Bond and Trust Company (NBT) at 1-800-426-9314 and ask for the Customer Service Department. The National Bond and Trust Company is responsible for new enrollee registrations, deduction changes, administration of issuing and mailing the bonds to customers.

 

The Customer Service department will require the following information at time of initial enrollment:

• Employee Name
• Employee ID number
• Bond Denomination
• Beneficiary or Co-owner information
• Payroll Deduction Amount
  

 

You can make a Change Request online at NBT or by contacting NBT at 1-800-426-9314 for the following:

• Payroll Deduction Amount Change
• Request Address Change
• Change Bond Denomination
• Change Beneficiary or Co-Owner
• Delete a Savings Bond
• Other matters; i.e., report a lost or stolen savings bond.
  

 

Enrollment and changes may take 2 to 3 weeks to become effective. If you wish to correspond in writing you can mail to:
