1. Kuali Project Update
-Kuali developers are preparing for a June 30 code freeze
of new functionality, followed by a Quality Assurance
period in July, August and September. October 2 is the
planned date for the first official release of
downloadable/implementable code. The Quality Assurance (QA)
period will entail fixing usability issues, minor bugs,
writing user and technical documentation and packaging the
application for distribution.
-Kuali Functional people are testing like mad hoping to
find all possible bugs and inconsistencies so that the
Kuali Financial Systems (KFS) baseline module will be
delivered in a perfect state.
You can help by registering for "Kuali Hands on Testing"
sessions in July and August, via Information Services Web
(ISW -http://www.fso.arizona.edu/isw/default.asp?app=training)
If the classes are full, add yourself to the waiting list
and we'll add some more- most likely in September.
-Norm Peacock, Indiana University Foundation met with the
FSO Endowment Module team and the UA Foundation to review
the Kuali Endowment Module (KEM).
-The Kuali AP/Purchasing demo on Friday June 23rd was
attended by about 75 UA employees and over 30 institutions
outside the partner schools. The demo covered the
Purchasing process from Requisition to Payment.
-Don't forget to take the Kuali Test Drive -
http://kualitestdrive.org (Download the Driver's Manual
first).

6. Frequently Asked Questions -
Timely submission of receipts
Your Question: Is there a time-frame for submission of
receipts for payments? For example, should an employee be
reimbursed for receipts that have a date of January in the
month of April?
Reply: Per FRS Departmental Manual, section 9.10,
Requisitions/Reimbursements, Timeliness -
http://www.fso.arizona.edu/fso/deptman/9/910reimb.html#timeliness,
Receipts should be submitted within 10 working days of
incurring expense. However, we will usually reimburse
allowable business expenses beyond this time, and receipts
over 30 days old should include an explanation.
Additionally, travel receipts must correspond to the dates
of the travel.
FSO maintains a database of frequently asked questions.
