********************************** 2. Get a head start on Tax Season! Sign up for electronic delivery of your Form W2 in Employee Link. Advantages of signing up for this service are: * Access to view and print the Form W2 as early as January 8, 2008. To set your Tax Form No-Print Option in Employee Link: The deadline to sign up for your 2007 W2 electronic delivery is January 03, 2008. ******************************** 3. New University Tax ID Number - Effective 1/1/2008 Effective January 1, 2008, the University will start using a new Tax ID number (Employer Identification Number). No action is required by faculty or staff. This change primarily affects University reporting to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The W-9 form (Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification) will be updated in e-Forms at that time. New Transaction Privilege Tax (Sales Tax) license number - Effective 1/1/2008 As a result of the federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) change, the University has been assigned a new Transaction Privilege Tax license number that will be effective January 1, 2008. The Arizona Form 5000 (Transaction Privilege Tax Exemption Certificate) in e-Forms will be updated at that time. The new license number is 20221243. If procurement is done through the normal purchase order process, Procurement and Contracting Services (PACS) will provide the new number to the vendor. However, if your department needs to supply this number directly to the vendor, you will need to use the new sales tax license number effective 1/1/2008.
